Since November 2013, Green Tree Textiles Recycling has partnered up with the Down to Earth farmers markets to make textiles recycling more convenient for New Yorkers. We are so fortunate to have partnered with such an amazing organization, which supports local farmers. We are proud to be a member of the Down To Earth community and to make an impact on the environment. Our recycling program provides textiles recycling services to people, who live in buildings with no textiles recycling receptacles. We are currently recycling on Saturdays in Manhattan at the Morningside Park location and on Sundays we are in Brooklyn at the Park Slope, McGolrick Park and Cooper Park locations. In addition to keeping unwanted textiles from landfills, our recycling programs at the Farmers Markets provide jobs to people with developmental disabilities and to young people, who are between jobs and are truly passionate about our environmental efforts.
